Is the online shop secure?

Yes. We use Sagepay secure checkout, the UK's most widely used and trusted payment processor, to process card payments. No information is held or seen by us.

A Geotrust SSL certificate encrypts all the information (including card details) transmitted between your computer and our server. You can also pay by paypal or by bank tranfer if you prefer.


Do Estados leather goods come with a guarantee?

Yes. We check all our leather goods before posting them, however in the unlikely event of an issue post-sale, all Estados leather goods are covered by a 10 year manufacturing guarantee starting on the day of delivery. This is significantly longer than the majority of our competitors, and reflects our trust in our craftsmen. Please note that our 10 year manufacturing guarantee doesn't cover marking or damage caused by normal wear and tear.

Leather is a natural material, and as such minor variations in colour and imperfections on its surface are not only normal but integral to an item's individuality and beauty.

In the unlikely event that an item is faulty (excluding normal wear and tear), including stitching, zips, and metalwork, please return it and we will either repair or replace it. Once we have received the item, we'll investigate the problem and contact you to agree a way forward.


What sort of leather do you use?

We buy our hides from La Teresa in Buenos Aires, a third-generation, family-owned tannery. We believe that La Teresa achieves the highest possible quality in terms of suppleness, surface texture, and appearance. Hides are graded on a scale of 1-3, depending how soft or how marked they are. We exclusively use Grade 1, full-grain calf hides.

We use both vegetable and mineral tanned hides. Vegetable-tanned leather has a rich, natural surface appearance, however it stains easily, and must be sealed. It is traditionally used for luggage, furniture, or equestrian goods.

Mineral tanning produces softer, more resilient leather, ideal for wallets, handbags and accessories. All textured and coloured leathers are mineral-tanned.


How long does delivery take?

We offer free UK mainland delivery by Royal Mail first class (usually taking 1-2 days), or you can pay for special delivery (tracked and normally delivered the day after posting) at cost. We dispatch from Essex. International rates are also available at check out. If you require something in particular in a hurry, get in touch, and we will endeavour to help.


What belt size do I need?

Small is suitable for waist sizes 31.5" - 35.4" 
Medium is suitable for waist sizes 35.4" - 39.5" 
Large is suitable for waist sizes 39" - 43.5" 
Extra Large is suitable for waist sizes 43" – 47.5"

To estimate a lady's hip size, add 5.5" to her waist size (based on UK averages).


Can you personalise Estados leather goods?

Yes. We can emboss initials onto the majority of our products, other than croc or lizard print leather. To personalise an item, follow the instructions on the item's product page.


Can you gift wrap?

All our leather goods arrive beautifully wrapped in acid-free tissue paper inside a stunning presentation box. We're also happy to include a personal message, handwritten on cream card. Simply enter your message in the box on the relevant product page before clicking 'add to basket'.


What happens if something I want is out of stock?

Email us at contact@estados.co.uk, and we'll let you know when it will be back in stock.

Can I purchase Estados leather goods as corporate gifts?

Yes. Estados luxury leather goods make great corporate gifts. Discounts are available for volume purchases. Email or call to discuss your requirements.


How can I return an item or cancel an order?

All our leather goods come with a 30 day no questions asked money back guarantee, if you are not happy for any reason whatsoever, and assuming that they remain unmarked. If you would like to return something, please contact us before posting it back, stating your order number. We will reimburse return postage cost by Royal Mail first or second class on receipt of scan of a postage receipt that includes the postcode. Refunds are issued to the same source that payment was taken from. To cancel an order before it has been posted, email us at contact@estados.co.uk stating the order number.


Do you have a privacy policy?

Yes. When you register with Estados, you are consenting to receive occasional emails containing Estados news and promotions.

When you place an order, you'll receive an email confirming that the order has been received, another when it has been posted, and a third afterwards requesting feedback.

Estados collects the contact details that you provide when you place an order or register, but not your card details. Your contact details are stored on a secure server and are used solely to communicate with you about your purchase, and to send you an email newsletter occasionally if you consent to it. Estados will in no circumstances share any of your details with a third party.
